I am a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany under the supervision of Begüm Demir. I am working as a research associate at the same faculty. I am also a group member of the BigEarth project.

I received my M.S. degree in computer engineering from Department of Computer Engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey in 2018 under the supervision of Gokberk Cinbis and Selim Aksoy. Before joining M.S. programme in Bilkent, I spent a year at the Deparment of Computer Engineering of Bogazici University, Turkey as a M.S. student where my advisor was Ali Taylan Cemgil. I received my B.Sc. degree in computer engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey, in 2015.

My main research interests include computer vision and machine learning with special interest in remote sensing image analysis, deep learning and large-scale image understanding.
