Research associate at the Database Systems and Information Management Group of TU Berlin led by Volker Markl.
My current research interests lie within cross-platform query optimization and execution in federated/polystore systems, big data query languages, and IoT data management.
I received my M.Sc degree at TU Berlin, where I specialized in big (and small) data management systems. My master thesis was about combining scale-out with scale-up data management techniques. During my studies, I worked at DIMA and DFKI/IAM as a research assistant, contributing to a compiler infrastructure that enables execution of declarative data analysis programs on hardware-accelerated query engines. Before my studies, I worked as a full-stack web developer, crafting custom content management systems and web applications.
