Peter Jung
About meI received the Dipl.-Phys. in high energy physics in 2000 from Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany, in cooperation with DESY Hamburg. Since 2001 I have been with the Department of Broadband Mobile Communication Networks, Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) and since 2004 with Fraunhofer German-Sino Lab for Mobile Communications. In 2007 I received the Dr.-rer.nat (Ph.D.) degree (on “Weyl–Heisenberg representations in communication theory”) at the Technical University of Berlin (TUB), Germany. I am a habilitand at the Technical University Berlin and member of the The Communications and Information Theory Group (CommIT) of Prof. Giuseppe Caire. I was also a visiting professor at TU Munich and associated with the Munich AI Future Lab (AI4EO). Since 2023 I am also with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) leading the “Computational Sensing and AI” group at the DLR Institute for Optical Sensor Systems. ResearchI am working interdisciplinary in signal processing, sensing, information and communication theory, data science and machine learning. My research profile is the interface between data science and its mathematical treatment. My research interests include :
TeachingIn last years I gave lectures in compressed sensing and estimation theory. TechnologyI am a cofounder of the MOXZ GmbH - a TU-Berlin spin-off via “EXIST Forschungstransfer”, see moxz.tech Sites |
