Prospects
There are many ways to take advantage not only of the converter’s textual results but also of the instances generated by it:
- Visual OCL constraints can be checked if they describe what they are meant to by considering the converted OCL string.
- The OCL meta-model instances are trees of Java objects. These can directly be stored using XML.
- There are many OCL tools for different purposes. To use them with Visual OCL the converter can be used as a link to the editor. The tools can eventually be fed with the generated OCL strings or with the meta-model instance.
